Bernard, sure can, I am also using Ocean Free plastic tank as a planted tank, just need to clean the surface while doing water change. It is quite clear but don't compare to those crystal clear glass tank.

Thanks for the assurance. Thinking of using GEX because it's light and ease of transport. But it's quite expensive, Y618 selling at $48 for a 2ft tank
They are easier to get scratched than glass ones right?
If I am not wrong, Ocean Free is cheaper?

Hi bernie, Compared to plastic tank glass tank is much more clearer . And definitely wont get scratch marks easily...

Yes, when I started back in October 2009, I bought GEX flake for the fish food and they love it a lot, but not many LFS carry it.
