    Hi guys, recently i got alot things to ask and learn. I just brought a Hailea HL-BT200 internal filter but haven't use, i wonder is it safe for shrimps and shrimplets in future.? Currently is using HOF, due to having problem with the cleaning and got dirty easily.

    Hi mo sheng ren,

    Internal filters are not recommended for shrimp keeping, will almost certainly suck in shrimplets, plus lack of filter media to promote bacteria growth. Best recommended is canister filter with good filter media, best to use a sponge with small pores to cover the filter inlet otherwise, Stainless Steel drainer cap.
    If you are concerned with strong flow in tank, you can have the option of using a rainbar at the outlet and deflect it against the back of the tank.

    Thanks, yes the flow is too strong for the shrimps, i got sakura shrimps and there is with shrimplets. I still wonder how to solve the problem, now too late, will try to solve it morning.

    You can also try putting lots of moss/fern where the shrimplets can hide
