Went to bed last night with 20 living cherry reds. This morning found the sponge filter disconnected, air tube still bubbling though, and almost all shrimps dead, the living ones like having muscle cramps.... sad[]
    Regards.

Sorry to hear the news. Having a hard time coping with the loss of 2 fish fry myself. I don't understand though. You mean the shrimps couldn't tolerate a night of non-filtration? Does that apply to all shrimps or just Cherrys? Or is it the excess air (really cannot be) which killed them?

i think the big bubbles from the air hose caused alot of turbulance thus the shrimps died of exhaustion.
