Put a stone at the bottom to break the downforce of the water.
Need to turn on full for this filter or else not sufficient filtration.
Hi guys it's me again..
I wanna to ask about this dolphin nano tank set, it's come with a H-80 HOF.. But i notice the filter couldn't perform well to make the water flow well on the 9(W) x 8(D) x 10(H) nano tank.. Cause if i on the flow to high, the next day i realise my soil is having a hole created by the strong flow.. Wonder does anyone here for the same tank and having this problem as well.. How you guys solve the problem.?
Thanks for any advise..

Kenng,
Thanks, will try to put this weekend during the water change..
Where and how much you get for the tank? With any other things?
thats quite a small tank .. do you have picture? if it less than 2 red notes, that quite cheap
about the flow problem, you can do 2 things
1. fill up the HOB with filter media to the max, both to the left and right side
If you can add a sponge filter into the tank and the suction pipe even better
2. Add water all the way near the waterfall exit
This way the water comes out more break out and doesnt hit the bottom of the tank
but you also have less dissolved oxygen.
Look4koh, ya.. as what Jovel said.. =)
Jovel, thanks.. =)
marimo, this is how the nano tank look like, the thermometer is not this type..
your filter can adjust the water flow to smaller on the left side. Good idea to have a wood below to break the water force.
Everyday is a good lesson to me. Learn as you grow...
Had a similar set up. Just fill the water level up by another inch or so. That should do the trick.
yepee, ya.. thanks for the tips.. =)
gan_john, thanks for the tips too.. =)
I just bought this filter , but every time I pour water inside it , the left side leaks. Is yours the same when you first bought it or do I just have a faulty one?
GuppyLover, sorry for the late reply.. HOF i think is normal, due to over flow or dirt on it.. just do so cleaning should do the trick..
It's okay. I went back to Aquastar to change it. Turns out there was actually a leak at the bottom of the filter.
GuppyLover, i see..
