Buy a magnet and buy marine epoxy to cover it yourself?
Hi,
I am creating my own diy cave using styrofoam (in another thread) and I am facing problems to make the styrofoam sink.
After much googling, I saw someone having similiar issue in another forum.
He/She mentioned epoxy covered magnets.
Does anyone know where can I get such magnets that are safe for aquarium?
Thank you in advance.

Hi 14litre
You literally think everything can be bought under LFS roof...
Anyway, try DIY hardware or hardware shop along the industrial area. Do not use Marine epoxy, you may see instead of fighting crayfish but dead ones. Hence try using black silicon to paste over the magnet and allow 24 hours to be fully cure.
hope this will help you.
Thanks Eddy for the warning. Any reasons why marine epoxy is not good for fresh water? I was under the impression that its safe?
I even saw a DIY blog teaching people how to add live rocks to their coral display by using gel super glue + marine epoxy.
I know C328 sells epoxy for aquarium uses too so I'm somewhat worried now after your warning. Was planning to do something with epoxy myself
