I took out the wood and all the plants. did a 80% water change.

After a day. It's still in my tank. It is stick on the soil. My filter manage to suck alot of time.

issit like white web looking thing
its some slime mold due to CO2 and lowlight and stagnant water
i got it last time, WC does not help, they just grow all over again in 24 hours.

its your excel, you are adding too much
how many litres is your tank?

rainbar only agitate surface. your plants are all bottom, i used a airstone and blast it underwater to drive away CO2

ya the day before I added excel. I guess I overdosed it. I have 1 eheim filter and 1 sponge filter plus a rainbar. I still need a airstone? how to clear the mold? any idea to dissolve it? will it mutiply?

i cant remember how , but i did WC, aerate the new water and put on light for 8 hours
they grew significant less till i threw a few plant that were decomposing.

Anyway i feel that you are screwing the cycling.
too much CO2, the BB also wont multiply as much. The ammonia also is abit high to start.
Do you use any commercial BB ?

I cant see from the picture, but from your decription, it sound like fungus which normally grow on wood if you did not boiled first.

I did boil my driftwood for about 1hr and cooling it before putting it in the tank. it been soaked for about 3-4days. After the infestation, I took out my driftwood and plants did 80% water change. rinse my flame moss in tap water, put it back in.
I am seeing it ytd again. not sure whats the cause of it.
I took my driftwood and resoak it in a bucket.
so my tank currently only got flame moss and us fissiden. It seem to be coming back cause ytd I spot it on my moss and some floating in the tank.
I would try to take a better photo of it and post it up when i get home.
I need to know whats causing it so I could stop it.

If it's green, grows like a sheet over plants and gravel AND it stinks, then that's BGA or Blue Green Algae. This isn't an algae but a bacteria, specifically, cyanobacteria. Several ways of ridding it but do your online research and get back to us.

I experience this white hair like fluffy algae on my hairgrass before.
Initially I thought it was Cyanobacteria. Do water change and clean with tooth brush it still come back.
After much research I found out that it was some type of brush algae.
Up the co2 and reduce the lighting period from 7hrs to 5 hrs per day.
Took 2 weeks for it to totally disappear.
