    Hi,

I'm new at this. It's my first major planted tank. Only 1 mth old. Still looking out for a suitable plant to cover the reactor. Please comment. Thanks!

interesting background paper! where did u get it?

I think the tank will look great when the left cluster grows out.
is that long hair grass? does it send out shoots at the tips of its leaves?

    quite an interesting set up!

    Here's what i think :

    - the wood stops abruptly right at the center, and is rather flat in contour. you may want to add more to give it a undulating feel and extend a little towards front and/or right.

    - The reactor etc can be hidden by more branches/moss, fern?

    - The glosso look nice and thick. But why do you have one half glosso and the other hairgrass.

    - Pennywort on wood look a little out of place.

Actually, there's no background paper... the tank back is bare... that's my wall you see.
The tall hairgrass (Eleocharis vivipara) is the type that grows new plants at the tips like hair split-ends.[]

Lorba, the moss branch is definitely an option. Waiting to visit Aquarama for some inspiration. With my choice of plants, I was trying to emulate some of my favorite Amano landscape tanks. The forest on the left slowly blending to the open grassland on the right. I don't really want my planted tank to look like simply a tank of water plants. I haven't let the hairgrass blend with the glosso and elatine because I might decide to change foreground plants. Pennywort is only there temporarily till I move it to a pond.
