anything above 10mm would suffice for your tank specs.
dunno about marine though.......
When I was researching for a new 4x2x2ft tank, a LFS owner tell me that for a tank of that size you need to have 10mm thick glass for Freshwater and 12mm if you intent to use it for marine fishes.
Is it because saltwater is more heavy so need thicker glass?![]()

salt water is slightly heavier than fresh water. by a factor of about 1.026, if not wrong.
