6-8mm
For a 3 ft planted tank, what should be the thickness of the glass?
6-8mm
Corydoras: 2 x adolfoi, 1 x agassizii, 5 x albino aeneus, 3 x arcuatus, 4 x atropersonatus, 3 x axelrodi, 6 x axelrodi variante B, 4 x caudimaculatus, 5 x duplicareus, 8 x goldlines, 3 x kanei, 3 x loretoensis, 6 x melini, 4 x panda, 6 x schwartzi, 3 x similis, 4 x sterbai, 4 x surinamensis, 5 x trilineatus, 4 x tukano & 3 x zygatus
RIP 1 x adolfoi, 1 x albino aeneus & 2 x panda
So is 6mm enough?
I have seen 3ft tanks sold that are of the 6mm thickness but to be on the safe side I'll go for the 8mm one.
FYI, my 4x2x2ft tank is 10mm.

My old 4x1.5x1.5 ft tank was 6mm.

I think the thickness is see the depth of the tank la...The deeper the tank the thicker the glass muz be lor...
Juz my 2cents of personal thoughts, i think the most important part on the thickness of the tank is the base cos it's gonne be load wif thick & heavy gravel plus water pressuring down after gravel added, that's why my 3ft is 6mm sides wif 10mm base. By the way, it's the same advise from the tank maker too.
