2 Feet Shrimp Tank

Hi All,

Heres my 2 feet shrimp planted tank that i'll like to share. Sorry for the lousy quality pictures as it is not easy to shoot tank shots.

Fauna :
- Otto
- Corydoras pygmaeus
- L183 Starlight bristle nose
- Nerite Snails
- Shrimps (Crs/Bds)

Flora :
- Japanese Hairgrass
- Hemianthus Callitrichoides (HC)
- Staurogyne
- Mini Fissiden on lava rocks
- Weeping Moss on lava rocks
- Long hair grass in the back ground (Unsure of the name )
- Marsilea hirsuta
- Marsilea Sp.
- Clover looking plant (Unsure of the name as well)

Equipments :

- Eheim 2215 (Media includes Subtract Pro / Bio Homme (red) / Subtract)
- HS 28A
- Co2 Cylinder with Solenoid with Diffuser
- Lily Pipes Out/In
- Lightings 4 x 24w (3 Aqua Zonic 12000k / 1 Arcadia Planted Pro 6500k Tubes)
- Aqua Clear 50 HOF
- Base with Humic at the lowest layer, followed by ADA ll and Benibachi Soil on the very first layer)

Other informations :

- 10% < Water change weekly
- Lights on from 10 am - 530pm daily
- Co2 from 9am - 6 Pm daily
- GH - 4 / PH - 6
- Temperature set at 25 degrees
- Ferka Aquatilizer / AquaShare (Might change to BW products after finishing Ferka)
- Seachem Excel (Stop dosing)
- Shrimps Supplements ( Bw/Mosura Products) Not going to list down

What rocks are you using, will affect your gH?

Thanks gryphon, I am using black lava rock. So far i do not think it affects the GH. So far GH is around 4, never exceed 6

Yeah quite relax watching them climb around. But right now i am facing hydra problem. Thats a headache!

Thanks zenith, my lightings should be strong enough, 96w for a 2 feet tank. My HC is not melting, in fact its creeping but just now fast enough. Just weird that on the center is growing better, the sides growth not that good.

hahah aussie was damn good lah! lol but expensive too, cost of living damn high there.
my tank is doing okay, i have jap hairgrass with co2 now haha but dont spread/creep as well as yours!

you can cut those transparency 1 cm above soil height, then insert into the borders of your hair glass and HC. worry free~~~
