ADA Equipments & Products

Hi Folks, I am new to rearing fishes and aquascaping. Have been going through quite a lot of readings. ADA seemed to be a designer product but is it really worth the buy? Any shops locally that actually carry the full range of products? My intention is to figure out a optimal cost to setup a 60x30x35 tank. Would really love to see the products than to see pictures online.
Any kind souls to show me the way?

LFS carrying the products depends on your location.

Eastern Singapore: Samyick, New Kating, Yun Feng, CRS HAven, Aqua Star@Elisa mall
Central Singapore: Nature Aquarium
Western Singapore: PolyArt, Colourful
Northern Singapore: CCK306, Y618

As in full range, it is quite tough for them cos Biotope Services do not bring in the full range due to various reasons.

However if you really want to view the actual products(is it really necessary in the first place), search the forum for brothers whom have used them.

comparing ADA and other brands products is like comparing Gucci with Giordano. They have identical products which serves the same purpose. But if your wallet is deep enough, just go ahead for the best.

There are so many products and brand, making a ding in my head. Based on forum's brothers who have experiences, I would like to know which products are tested for reliability and efficiency.

Having tried almost all available products/brands, I would say my first choice is ADA. and if you were to do your sums, ADA stuffs are not that expensive to use given their proven track record.

my list of tested products would be

Substrate: ADA
Tank: CR/N30(ADA if you can afford it)
Filters: Ehiem/Tetra
Lights: Aquazonic(low budget)/Sloite/DE lightings(mid budget)
Chiller: Similar to bro robert.

I have to admit that ADA tank and substrate are quite affordable. However the CO2 and filter seemed like a bomb to purchase.

For filters, you need not buy the super jet filters by ADA. A ehiem or Tetra 75 would do the job. For CO2, I believe the QH starter set is also capable enough to do the job.

And please do not compare prices of on line shops here. Different shops have different level of commitment and overheads. It is not right to compare prices here in the forum. Kindly refrain from that.

Chiller is not must, normally fan is sufficient but it also depend on your fauna.
