very seldom have actual water change once matured, since i use tank water to water my plants. Everyday i can use around 2-3% water even more when i wash the floor.

    Aquazonic 27cm. 10X1.5W plus 3 x 0.24w..

What do you mean by running mw rating?

Well, my setup does not have anything in common but because I am thinking of carpeting plants.. So your glosso interest me..

This is my share of my outdoor tank!
Just plain gravel with some ferns tied on driftwood and frogbits.
Garden pebble and slates as decor.
Housing 4 pearl gourami and 10 mosquito fish.
    No filter no pump.

it's not out competing hair algae too well, but is easily maintained with a tooth brush since they root well. The absence of co2 makes alot of difference in growth rate.

There IS algae, mostly hair algae.
GSA is a indicator of sorts to me, means off balance.

Limit the light is the easiest method. Lower intensity, Cover the direct path light takes.
The farms i been to grow plants under some netting for the same reason.

I am not as pro as farms, i never will be.. so i have a company of algae eaters... 5 x sae , 7-8 yamato big & fat fat now, maybe around 200-300 malayan & cherry (they also serve as food source due to my super random feeding habbits)

I used tetra brand algae remover and it works wonders for green water. Algae wise I just have a normal pleco in it.
