I have a few questions about this beauties.
1. How do you determine their sex?
2. when would their tail turn red?
3. Does red tail catfish poisonous?

If i have not mistaken, you can only determine their sex when they mature at a pretty big size.
Their tail are usually red since young, i've seen LFS selling RTC at a size of 3 - 4" and already have red tail
I am not so sure if they are poisonous, but i do not suppose they will bite you in your tank
Oh okay okay.. My Red tail is like at 6 1/2 inch. It's tail still not red.. Thanks alot though. =)
Do you have a picture of it ? Because there's one kind where it is a cross between RTC and 1 other catfish.

Oh yes! 1 more question, do they eat their own species? Like cannibalism? I heard that they die too cause they get too lonesome..
im not sure how to sex them,but i know that their tail will turn red when they get bigger,dont think they will die of loneliness but one thing im sure is that they will eat whatever they can stuff into its mouth
they grow pretty fast & yes they will eat anything that fits in its mouth.if you need to comm,pls get fishes that is 2x bigger than its size
