Nope. I didn't throw them away. The water just dried up and I just wrapped the tray up with newspaper. Maybe I should put them in the fridge heheh. Think it was too hot last month, my room temps were hovering at 30-31

Lol.. Bro you got a heater in your room? Thats very hot. Anyway, do try to use only distilled water, plus keep adding every day to simulate the raining condition of triops natural habitat after you freeze them. Bro, you might have problems feeding the triops larvae though... Try find detritus .... You can goggle on how to self make some.

I did use distilled water.... nope, no heater in my room, just that it was pretty hot when I attempted hatching them, my room's normal temps are usually slightly higher due to the amount of computer hardware hahaha. The only one that hatched only hatched after I introduced an air pump into the equation... my wife still insisted that hatching don't need lights cos the instructions were kind of vague hahaha.

Lol - bro, you need the lights to shine on the eggs to hatch them - and i mean intensify lights but not heat. Your room temp is quite high ehh. What i did was to use an LED table lamp, keep shinning at those eggs and add distilled water every day. The instructions dint state that they need light, but i would recommend using some led light to shine on them for at least 24 hours - i am pretty sure you will see the difference, but pelase be mindful of the temperature as it could kill your larvae...

hi 22 - 24 degrees is recommended for your breed of triops, i assume that the package you bought is Triop Longicaudatus? if your room is too hot i would suggest you put it in the living room near the window for natural sunlight? light would actually let them hatch properly but if you don't want any unnecessary heat you could use a "Clip-on booklight" for your Triops. Hope this help if you have any more questions you can ask here i'll try to help you but for fast reply just email me at [email protected]
