Hi everyone.......I need some or your valuable pointers.

My patch of Elatine Triandra is growing well. However, I restricted their growth by placing driftwoods that act as 'barricades' surrounding my Red Tiger Lotus.

My question is: Will it be alright if I remove the driftwood barrricades surrounding the Red Tiger, thus allowing the Elatine to roam freely and get near the Red Tiger? Will the Elatine disturb the growth of the Red Tiger?

For your info, the Red Tiger is a matured strong bunch now.

All info is much appreciated......thanx in advance.

E.tiandra disrupting the tiger lotus, I doubt so. The roots system of the tiger lotus is rather long which I think no foreground plant can outcompete.

On the other hand, the E.tiandra may have problem growing near the stems of the Lotus where especially the shaded area. Not too favourable for good growth.
    Cheers!!
