Just wondering, will having a high KH have any adverse effects on fishes or plants?

It wouldn't harm your fish or plant. However, with a high KH, it would mean that your water's PH would be on the high side. And for plants it is generally recommended that the PH to be at 6.8. Therefore, you need to add more CO2 to bring the PH down to that level. Hope that helps.

Once again..plants don't care about the pH. Its the CO2 that they care. Remember that....

Interesting , plants don't care about the pH. I'm really keen to know more about it.

So ericaulon & tonina family plants doesn't need low pH to trive?
    Cheers!

"Don't care about GH" is an over-generalisation. Most plants can tolerate a large range of pH. IMO, between 6 to 8 pH is pretty safe. Some can go lower, down to 5 pH. Some of the more delicate ones might be more sensitive. Most would of course have an optimum.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

But you have to becareful when injecting more CO2 with high kH like 10 dh. Cos if your pH drop from 7 plus to below 7 eg 6.8dh......[] Guess wat kH 10 pH 6.8 is equal to Co2 50 PPM
Think your fish might Peng Sang[]

Optimum would be KH at 4 and PH at 6.8. Thats what I meant Sorry for the confusion
