    Are all of them the same type of rocks? Remove 1 of them, dry it and drip some vinegar on the rock and observe if there are some fine bubbles. If yes, these rocks are not suitable for shrimps as they will cause gH to rise.

    hmm... the nerites and yamatos are doing fine, as well as my boraras merah and otos. probably not intro the crs back again. and there are flat white spots all scattered here and there over the soil.. nerite eggs?

    CRS more sensitive, you can try hardier shrimps like cherries, firereds etc. Yes they are nerite snail eggs, if its on the glass scrap them off, cos if they are left too long and you scrap off will leave a "ring" mark and must scrub very hard to get rid of it

    Even if you don't remove the rocks, the continuous evaporation of water by your fan will in itself raise the GH. Your rocks will not help also. Eventually even your yamatos will have problem moulting.
