bro i've seen some at Yun Feng Aquarium@Tampines and Hiap Khoon@Pasir Ris Farmway 2, gd luck!
Thanks for the lead, but I will have to put off adding them to my tank for a while, as I just found out that my water is too hard, 940ppm!
Apparently, my boy who had the tank for the past 2 years before I took over buried a bag of cockle-shells at the far corner of the tank.
I was testing out an old long-forgotten instrument which I found in my hobby cabinet two days ago, that discovered this fact.
I've heard that Chocolate Gouramis are really difficult to maintain. Beautiful fishes though. Hope you get your hands on some when your water conditions are right.
best thing is they eat hydra!!!!!! have 1 in my tank just to keep the hydra at bay
Cheers,
Bernard
Kept (no more) Betta persephone, B. miniopinna, B. sp. palangkaraya, B. uberis, B. channoides, B. burdigala
Pseudepiplatys annulatus, Nannostomus eques
As Emokidz mentioned, once acclimatized they are tough little buggers.
The important part is not to buy newly arrived fishes at the lfs, and also to buy from lfs who have experience handling such fishes.
I've got the gh down below 500ppm after 3 wc, and probably another 3 or 4 more wc should get it down to 140ppm; which is the gh of our tap water here.
