Dymax MH lights

Saw the pics at Aquarama on the Dymax MH lights. Looks so ideal for those of us who do not want to have "hanging from ceiling" pendant type.

Does anyone know if Dymax is a Singapore company? How can we contact this company?

They are from Taiwan and is distributed by ADEC Trading.

The MH light set you are talking about is expected to be launched in Dec 03 or Q1 04.

It's $500 a piece, that's what they told me in Aquarama. Personally I find the reflector not doing as good as those conventional pendant ones. Overall okay, except for the price tag that comes with it!

Considering $500 a piece if it is using e-ballast, but it is not. It still needs the separate ballast sitting on the ground somewhere. Damm ugly and hot.

Why not considering getting Jebo MH light which was selling $688 with for 5' tank :

2 x 150w (6500K) MH bulb
2 x 27W (blue CLF light)
with stand and cable for hanging.
e-ballast , only 2 wire coming down from the light, 1 for the CLF and 1 for the MH.

I bought my MH highlight from H20, Aquarama price $688 for 6' tank, length of 155cm. Consists of 2 x 150w MH and 3 x CLF 27w blue light.
Came with stand and cable for hanging up.

Gisselman MH is using e-ballast also. 1 x 150w (length ~ 2' ) , I think it is over $1000 (I recalled it was expensive). The dealer in singapore is located in Ginza.

I don't think so. My friend told me that as long as don't exceed 8000K the plants shouldn't be "chow dah" . I have requested H2O to provide 6500K bulb. Can't really verify it. With 2 MH light on while laying on the floor for testing, my whole living room and dining room of Exec Apt had been lighted up .
