Just brought a Solenoid valve CO2 regulator and found that the solenoid(the black part) is very hot after power up for a few minutes. Is this normal? Can those using solenoid value type help.

Normal. Mine is hot enough to cause worry initially but i came to know that it's how it works.

On the topic of solenoids, it's always better to get a german solenoid. Even with a Taiwan Regulator.
Taiwan regulators normally won't outlast a year

Thanks Darkkon & Vican for the advise. The solenoid i brought is German made and since it is normal for it to be hot, will set it up to my CO2 tank tonight.
