Should be alright, a well-filtered 2ft tank should be able to support up to 150 shrimps.
However galaxies will hunt down shrimps, last time i kept galaxies with my shrimps and i found at least 1 dead shrimp per day![]()
Hi all, I've just cycled my tank for more then half a month and currently the tank is being occupied with some malayans and cherry shrimps. My tank is 2 x 1 x 1.5, it's filled with gex soil (Red pack) and i intend to put more occupants into the tank. I was wondering that the current livestock level will be overloaded or not. Do kindly share your precious advise.
Current livestocks
Malayan Shrimps: 10 - 15 pcs
Cherry shrimps: 10 - 15
Nerite Snail: 5 pcs
otto: 3 pcs
I was intending to get a batch of 30 pcs of fire red and 5 galaxy to include into the tank, will it be to much bioload for the tank? Currently running on Atman DF500.
Fish keeping is not a good hobby unless you received support from your family to keep them.

Heard some shop suggesting boraras since its small. I think its the same one your talking about, but if you wish to be safe and wants your shrimps to breed, best not to have any fishes. My tank only houses ottos to clean the tank wall.
Otocinclus safest, boraras brigittae or boraras merah or whatever boraras may eat shrimplets. All other fish are may be dangerous. Best is dont put any fish at all.
lols my two feet only got like 30 cherry red and two fire blue shrimps.with two over head filter for more filter power
