    its a rotala species, but i don't really know which.. the foreground is E. sp different from the E. quad, narrower and shorter.. looks more like the bigger version of a E. tenellus

    Hi Simon, I also feel handicap in maintaining the stem plants. When the stem plants are so bushy and packed like yours, will the bottom leaves die off because of insufficient light ? Or, do you have ways to maintain the leaves healthy throghout the whole stem ?

    dx, so far.. not much problems with bottom leaves melting.. usually, I will strip the stem bare from the bottom up, say 5-10cm... also it dependings on the position of the plant. you cant do the same for those infront...

    chcs, most of them is in my 4ft.. reduced in size of cause or in my pond.. anyway, with teo around, getting supplies for echinodorus species isn't much of a problem
