Re: UP 120 Hang on Back Canister

Sorry to high jack the thread felix, but i'm also quite interested in this filter for a upcoming 1ft cube project.

Any reviews on this model? Been checking around but not much people are talking about it. Googling it drives me crazy as well with all the non related finds.

    Do advise!

I am currently using it... Just right for your 1 ft cube tank or even 2 feet. Flow rate can be tune...A very silent hang on canister with 4 layer of tray for you to add in your media...

I am using this for my 1.5 too, so far so good, silent and neat looking. Two controls for water, one in and one out..comes with 2 outlets, one rainbar and the other is a normal flow outlet with an option to attach a air hose..for bubbles i think.

Chris, can quote lfs you buy from? Price also.

Want to change canister as mentioned but I would want to use a complete section (pre filter) on the exit end to store purely BB.

    Felix I bought from seaview already, 51 + 34 before 15% discount.
Anyway is it better to use it pre filter first or after? Since I'm using the prefilter as the mechanical filter And how do I remove the bubble trapped in the connection between the 2 ? I think it's making some "bubble" noises.

Hi Jovel. Thanks for the price heads up. I think both ways will have the bubbles issue they will go away in a short time since air still will dissolve into the water.

If you don't mind, I can suggest you link them up submerged. It may yield better results.

Re: UP 120 Hang on Back Canister

Bubbles gone so far so good, quite impressed with it as well, wondering why did I bought a Eden for my 2 ft in the first place. Haha. Anyway, I'm just afriad the tank can't hold it's weight long term, overall I think it's holding 1.5 liters worth of media, plus slight vibration, I see my glass only 4-5mm haha. I supported it up with it's box with a tiny box inside for re-enforcement, just nice for my 40 cm cube.

I think not safe, the weight of the whole canister is quite heavy.
