i need to purchase another canister soon, and im interested to know if anyone here is using fluval. im thking of buying fluval 304, anyone foreseeing problems in the near future??

i went to tpy69 asking for e price and e kid there told me that they're not carrying fluval range anymore cos there were many complaints in e past. e most recent case (or so he claimed) was this man buying e 403 from him and had to returned 15 times for 'repairs'.

dont wish for the same to happen to me so im appealing for any complaints or compliments on fluval now.

    thanks []

Stick to Eheim would be a better choice.
Of cos can save a bit on the Fluval initially , but its parts are not easy to find in SG should something go wrong....so.....

Filter for what size tank ?

    i had a fluval 404
the ceramic stick broke off, and i couldn't find replacements
juz fyi, the agent for fluval is somewhere inside amk ind park 1
    i lost the address tho

    go for eheim
more expensive, but much quieter and hassle free

So far so good. But think very hard to find this in singapore. Try to get one but can't find at petsmart.

I dun really wash often. Maybe once every 6 months.

The "o" ring seal may be a problem for some as it is not really secure.. will move abt..

The first few times I tale out to wash. Have problem putting them back and leak out thru the lid.

My first canister was a 2nd fluval 303. Used it for 1.5 years. Priming is not easy, may need to drink some tank water. Abit noisy compared to eheim. Now the cap that holds the impeller is broken. Very difficult to find spare. Did not complain cos I bought it at $20. The catch was I did not know whether it was working or not. Now I've changed to an 2028... no horse run man
    Cheers!!

Yap.. priming is not easy.. but if you fill up the bucket with water 1st, it's easy.. I didn't realise I can't do the same when I use a eheim 2213. I tried to filled it up but can't as the outlet is at the base of the bucket... haa haa...

Good thing abt 303 is that it came with a lot of accessaries. it have a pair of disconnect valve and a mini pump for priming... I dun know why 2213 dun have this two.. can't even find the 2213 manual..

Think a lot of people mentioned that spare parts is difficult to get. Anyone here know where to get, in case mine got problem?(*Touch Woow*)

Ppl !, try Petmart or Rainbow LFS, they seem to have a wide range of Fluval spare parts. I got my 303 ( veli old one ) impeller cover and some spare parts for Ben. IMO Eheim is much more reliable and durable as compared to others BUT more x lah ! []
