Where can I get those rocks in SG? Will they increase pH, kH and gH?
last time Biotop has, I did not see any other shop selling it. Probably because it is expensive $9 per kg
I might have some spare but need to check my store room to confirm
You probably right, price is around there $9-$10. Can't really remember it was way back![]()
Love your scape Shadow. Makes mine look like childsplay ... lol
This is really nice!
How did you maintain the mound at the centre? Or you just let the hairgrass grow tall?
since its all parvula i think he just let the middle part grow taller and trim the front only and back corner only
Its a slope, the soil at the center is much higher and slowly lower toward left and right. This is the most maintenance free that I ever create. Only weekly water change, no trimming involve
.
How did you maintain that slope? Because for me any slope tends to flatten out over time. Did you pile it sky high?
not that high, the thickest soil maybe around 15 cm and the thinnest at the front is around 4 cm. Also the hairgrass root is helping keep the slope
nice scape there robert...
just a few questions...
1) does those rocks affect the water parameters?
2) when doing such tanks do you avoid bottow dweller like SAE, golden algae eater?
3) if you avoid those bottom dwellers, how do you keep the water so clean besides the filter?
4) lastly, what temp is your tank kept at? just room temp?
Thanks in advance! Cheers!
YQ
1) Never test but probably not. Not that I care anyway. HG will grow in wide range of environment
2) Don't like SAE and golden algae eater in the first place. They grow big and difficult to catch. So never use them
3) None, filter and weekly water change should sufficient. SAE and golden algae eater will only clean algae not water
4) Temperature typically 29-30 with fan
Nice and thick HG. Looking at it make me feel more relax.
