Those cheap dark coloured crabs often encountered in the lfs can be kept completely submerged though they dont really like it, and often try to escape. Haven't had a good look at them but they resemble a Parathelphusa of sorts.

Heterothelphusa fatum, has one larger claw like a fiddler, very cheap, brownish in colour.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and he will drink beer while getting sunburnt.
Last time ever saw a type of freshwater crab the size of a 5 cent coin being sold at C328. Its should be a fully aquatic crab as it is pack with water unlike the others. Can't remember the name but I think there was some discussion on them few years ago in AQ. I did purchase some but eventually all disappear due to their extreme small size among my plants.
Attached a reference from the aquarium wiki on the micro crab

heterothelphusa fatum is good, about 1 gold coin each. Almost all of them sold in LFS are males (as long as they have unequal siz claws they are males). However, they are qutie aggressive and will attack fishes. Limnopilos naiyanetri is not so aggressive, i even keep it with my shrimps and there are no problems, however it is not sold in singapore currently.
Another option is parathelphusa pantherina or syntripsa flavichela or syntripsa matanensis, all of which are sulawesi crabs, fully aquatic and used to be very popular in singapore a few years back. However, now they are no longer sold.
I had this crab from LFS , seen commonly
blue shell, light orangy red legs
walk tall and grow about 6-10 cm long
Anyone knows what species is that?
My opinion is crabs are really boring, they need hiding place and will really hide 90% of the time and they pee and poo a lot
Can i ask if anyone has frogs or clams in a shrimp tank?
That may be the cardisoma armatum or rainbow crab. It is not a fully aquatic freshwater crab however and will drown, it also spends part of its lifecycle in seawater as zoea. Clawed frogs can be kept entirely in freshwater, but it will definitely eat up every shrimp very quickly. dwarf frogs are also fully aquatic and shrimp safe (I think), but have not seen them for a loooong time.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and he will drink beer while getting sunburnt.
Personally i feel dwarf frogs are not shrimp safe too, they will attempt to hunt the shrimps down. Regarding clams, they will be alright in a shrimp tank, however they obtain food by filtering food particles from the water, particularly euglenia, green water, hence feeding them may pose a problem.
i have 12 clams quarantine in process... they start to spit the hair moss out ..doesnt the clam stick to rocks also?
I also worry they will dig into my substrate and eat the old sea mud powder .. i think the mineral rich will be good for them?
my tank is not too established , also worry not enough food for them
I only feed my shrimp once a night
