Welcome to AQ. Interesting to know your fishes are breeding.
Hi,
Been keeing all sorts of fishes all my life.
Now I only have two small tanks at home.
1. Cherry shrimps + sulawesi snail
2. White Cloud Mountain minnow
My cherry shrimps are breeding like hell, just trying to cull them to keep only the best coloured ones in the tank. They have been with me generation after generation for the past 7 years. I recently added a few sakuara shrimps into the tank.
My white clouds are also breeding. I put the tiny fry into the shrimp tank to add some diversity. When they get big. I remove them from the shrimp tank
As for my sulawesi snail. It was a recent purchase. It has given birth to a single baby.
Was wondering if they can continue to produce babies without a mail snail in the tank.

Newbie en el cichlid enano
Hi Nicholas,
I have been keeping fishes for the past 35 years, since I was a 4 year old boy. Started with guppies, then had lots of Bettas, then had some dwarf cichlids.
I always try to breed the fish I keep. There is no better pleasure in the hobby then to see your fish produce young.
The parental care behaviour of the bettas and cicihlids are wonderful to observe.
Right now I am just trying to produce enough baby white clouds to keep in my cherry shrimp tank. They add some life in the middle levels of the tank. Once they get too big and start harassing my shrimps, they will have to go.
I also had a surprise this morning. The Orange Sulawesi Tylomenia snail that I bought had produced a baby and it is now almost 1 cm long. Hopefully she produces more. They also add some action to the bottom of the tank.
