    How deep shld my base fert and gravel be in my 2ft tank?

    my base fert in my 70 cm deep tank is 1in pure fert (unmixed) and the gravel is 9cm in front, 24 behind

    24cm behind? thats almost half of the tank man

    bentan, for u, i ask u can creating a gentle slope but add more base fert, there isnt a guide of how thick, its yr decision.. I prefer a 50:50

    ben, the depth of plants got nothing to do with depth of gravel
    plants are planted a certain depth depending on the type of plants
    for rhizome plants, i expose 1/2~1/4 the rhizome
    rosette plants i expose the crown
    for stem plants, as deep as they can go
