Attachment 28822 20th August 2011 - I got 5 x discus (LSS & LS) from my friend. Before the discus, there was already RCS, OTO and yamato inside the tank.

Guess what, RCS dissappeared in couple of days.


Attachment 28823 28th Sept 2011 - 1 month after the addition of Discus. Trimmed the hair grass and added some blyxa along the DW's and the corners.

I hit into algae issues at this period of time. I had a hard time narrowing down the cause due to too many changes to the setup within short period of time.

Don't mind me asking what's that background plant in your first picture? Are the APP?

That's Rotala sp. 'Nanjenshan'. Commonly used in Amano setups.

Put some Otto in the tank will help to clear away the algae .

Yes, oto already in the tank. They got lazy after sometime. By the way, I manage to overcome the algae issues with EI dosing and adjusting my co2 level using drop checker. Thanks.
