Just think that feed dry food for guppies will be easier. However in my case, whatever I feed them, they still eat but yet to try to feed them with mealworms.
Hi all, i apologise, this is my first time being in charge of a tank of my own. I want to start off with guppies. Can i ask, do guppies eat mealworms? I'm intending to cut the meal worms until they become the size of a tubiflex worm-as i know tubifex worms are unhealthy and i cant find other worms to feed them already. Appreciate it lots if someone answer my quires! Thanks![]()

you can try frozen bloodworm. ive kept guppies before but im not sure if they will nibble at mealworms
Advice from boss Felix
Hi,
frozen bloodworm are sold in most LFSs... I bought mine at Seaview off Jalan Kayu there if it's convenient for you... I normally "pop" 2 cubes into my 2-feet tank for my Guppies, Mosquito Rasboras, Cherries & Sakuras which they love.
As for mealworm, will it be too 'hard' for the Guppies to swallow? Or you can get those dried fish flakes or food specially meant for Guppies also...
Hi all, thanks for your helpI will go to the fish stores and find them today.
Is it enough for guppy fries to just eat spirulina? And how long before I can feed them "adult food"?
Bad idea. Mealworms are much too big for guppies to swallow. Even if you cut them up, the guppies cannot chew through the exoskeleton of the mealworm. You can either feed them with dry foods like flakes or pellets, or frozen bloodworm/daphnia/bbs etc. They will take grindalworms or whiteworms if you can culture these at home, or fruit flies.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
My guppy caudal fin got snapped into two. She was living with other guppies, nothing else. Does anyone know how to heal her now??
Add 1 tablespoonful of salt per 5 gallon of water. Normal table salt will do but synthetic sea salt is the best. Add 2 drops of Acriflavin (sold in bottle labelled as 'Acuric') per gallon. This will prevent any bacteria infection at the wound. Do not add Methylene Blue as it will stain the wound. Thereafter, when the caudal grows back, it will leave a bluish black streaks along the caudal.
