How big is your tank? looks like it is less than 2 feet, wouldnt a 2026 be too strong? Anyway welcome to shrimp keeping and keep up the good work!
it's 1.5ft, yes, it is indeed too strong, so i use the rainbar and limiting the filter flow. So I hope the shrimps are doing ok with it.
One problem with my tank, i start to see tiny critter walking around the driftwood, i don't think it's cepepods as it's not moving around by doing some "jumping" action. can anyone tell me what it is and how to eradicate them?
i'm running a 2ft tank just bought for 1 week. eheim 2213. the rainbar pressure is so strong. my red swordtail is having problem swimming without getting blown

finally cycle bro?? glad to see you post your setup
i thought the 2 sakura are front line troop for testing?
the babies are generally lifeless and dont move much , hiding most of the time. they will be doing well in 2 weeks
there should be min bio film if its a new tank.
I feed the shrimplets bio-plus alt day to make sure they are fed
why do u use species name? its kinda very wierdwhy does it look like a neo sp. blue?
but anyway his camera white is bleeding blue as the same as the rocks and snails
sakura babies are transparent
they will be pigmented in 2 weeks time !
Yeah, it should be clear colourless white. I'm not using macro lens, instead I'm using 2 lens together to create macro shot, so colour and pic quality may not be very good.
And 1 of the 2 commandos that I bought from LFS are berried, so not they are already breeding.
Now I am having problem with the algae... One side, I need longer hours on my lights to make the moss green, but in the other side, longer lights = algae problem. How to resolve this...![]()
how many hours of light .. moss do not require very long hours of light
your algae problem doesnt seems too big
lessen the light, if possible black out . get otto fish/pleco
do some wc if you have been adding fertilizer
hoping they will be eaten up by the snails and pleco
Not always fix, depends on what time i reach home, and i usuallynswitch it on for around 6 hrs a day. Should i increase it?
You have a chiller....don't waste it...
Move it...Move it...Move to a better challenge...

He bro,
I attached 2 eheim 2213 and a eheim 2224 to a 2.5 ft tank. Water clear as cristal. I use sponge for inlet for preventing shrimpsucking. This will reduce the strenght already. And the outlet i use a spray bar with bigger holes so it should be good. Shrimps are doing great
Mike
