Hi Wynx
Nice pics, however some enhancement would make the pic look better. I've use autolevel on the photoshop to adjust the colour and brightness of your picture.

Hi wynx,
The white balance on your new camera is quite good. The color cast is not as apparent as some of the others. Subjects are clear and well presented. Although I will be more generous with the crop to enlarge the fishes a bit.
Keep 'em pictures coming!!!!
Cheers,

Help comment the following two shots that I cropped out. I am using a 3x closeup filter to shoot together with the standard lens at max zoom. Looks like a macro lens is the next in line for me

An improvement. Subject is well presented.
Basically, if you want to show/feature fishes in your photographs, take a que from the magazines..
1. The eyes must be sharp. The rest of the body should be at least 70% in focus.
2. The subject must occupy at least 40% of the picture if there is background.
3. The subject must occupy at least 60% of the picture if there is no background.
Magazines like Practical Fishkeeping from UK or any of the Japanese magazines are good examples. Other magazines like Tropical Fish Hobbyist or Aquarium have variable standards and are often below average at best.
On a separate note, try to keep the ratio of your presentation in a 3:2 format. If you are using 600 pixels in length, then the width should be 400 pixels. This is roughly in line with standard 35mm format, which is 35mm by 24mm. This format allows you to use the "rule of thirds" compositional aid more effectively. Portrait formats are usually harder to present fish.
Let's see more pictures!!!!
