DIY co2 can use with co2 diffuser?

is the pressure from diy co2 sufficient for use with a co2 diffuser? anyone knows this?

but the pressure will not be enough about 1 wk earlier than if you were using it with a reactor
means lifespan is shortened

i don't recommend it though
there's a chance of tubing popping, bottles bursting
it even works with eheim diffusors (high pressure needed)

Care to explain more about your statement... I've been using a CO2 reactor with a DIY CO2 without any problems...

Are you saying that if the pressure is too high... the bottle / tube might burst due to the high preassure of the DIY solution ??

For my case, if the pressure is too high... the water level at the CO2 reactor is low, I just unscrew the cap slowly to release some CO2 away so that the bioballs will spin again...

I do not put a lot of yeast so that the DIY solution do not produce too much CO2 and finished faster...

If the pressure is not enuf, just shake the bottle....

you will find gunk growing on the ceramic diffuser and it will block the pores.

how about reactors like UP then? is DIY pressure sufficient/better for reactors than diffussors? thanx for the help!

don't worry about reactors
the pressure is definitely enough
as for gunk on the ceramic discs, an overnight dunk in bleach followed by a good washing will clear it off

thanx for your feedback! went and got a reactor and it works great! I bought the 2in1 kind with airstone inside. but I realised that diy pressure isn't sufficient to be used with airstone so removed it. and found that it's good to leave the black "stem" there so co2 can bubble out easier to collect at the top plus the ball is kept in the middle at the end of the stem to spin freely! thanx again!

if the pressure isn't enough to force the gas out of the airstone, just leave the thing bubbling for about 2 days
should be ok by then

If your question is whether the diffuser can be used for DIY co2, the answer is yes but they are less efficient and the problems as wat DEA and the rest pointed out.

Using the reactor would be more efficient but I would be cautious cos DIY co2 is supplied 24/7 which may be too much.
