Re: Spotted - Chocolate shrimp n mosura product

    the master silane is here..
I saw silance chocolate shrimp post before . also saw LFS chocolate ..

the wuhu $15 should be consider dark chocolate. darker than the one i saw at C328, maybe its a black cherry dark var. since its pretty young in the tank (less than 1.5cm)

why is 'black cherry' should price at chocolate shrimp which is like $10 range?
since price is deprived from demand and supply
and black cherry color is not consistent .. like brown -blue, brown-copper- black-brown, black-copper-black-blue

Fire black , i guess wont come back?

    Look at this shrimp:

who would believe that it will color ran to almost light brown within a week or 2? The creek I found this species was decorated with vibrant color gems; black, blue, brown and yellow. However, those I brought back color ran in captivity within weeks and never come back.

it means the black cherry genes is not stable and depends on water and substrate environment.

silane bought it from LFS in tank of colorful pebbles display black and brought home ,it display new tank syndrome, color fade to brown and didnt adjust back to black.

not only black cherry has this problem.

Turns brown? Which is like milk chocolate? That's nice too! So is black cherry also called chocolate shrimp? Or are they different?

    Then how about Malayan shrimp?

i guess their brown means like muddy brown? i guess if we talk about colors, there would be black colored cherries like in the pictures above, nice chocolate colored ones too.

and malayan shrimps would be a whole different level. i keep malayans and they show nice light to dark brown tints, greenish to blueish tints.

you should also bring back the water , test whats in the water that our tank cannot provide

could it be where that shrimp farm dump their FU shrimps? the ones they say aura blue cannot be identified?
i believe fu farm is just like another aquarium factory .. and they shouldnt dump back into wild ..
blue shrimp syndrome is a deficient of axtaxanthin and it can be a inbred type of an existing deform shrimp , like blue pearl from snow ball or wild caught with blue traits
but which species, no one mention

not exactly milk brown , but rather like ..err wooden shrimp
chocolate is stable , does not change color

malayan is also call in US, rainbow shrimp. sometime colored shrimp
it comes in different tones at different water and enviroment
There is black malayan, as black as BKK with the stripe on the back.
i guess the trick is to provide dark substrate and lotsa hiding areas?
make it think black is the camoflauge color...

I saw many black shrimps at Y618, pitch black. Yup, the price is $15/pcs. Seemed like the retail price is pretty standard but those shrimps look so nice, like black ants.

Those shrimps and in fact "black" cherry shrimps when moved. "black" cherry shrimps color ran from tank to tank,,,, so can see they are really vulnerable to changes in water. One can expect how they will react in our recycled shit water.
