Have been shrimping for half year le..but few days ago my shrimpys pass away one after another then realise that there is so many thing to take note... So happen to saw this active forum and join in... Counted myself lucky that my shrimpys are able to survive for so long...but watching them pass away is wat i cannot tahan...
tank currently in office... starting off with 10 cherries...size of tank less than 1ft by 1ft...temperature ard 28 degrees off work timing... 25-26 degrees during office hours.. tank consist of pvc tube,moss ball,dymax hang-on filter and advance soil...
parameters of water currently tested by bro granzord (thanks bro). pH 6.4, ammonia 0, no2 0ppm, no3 0ppm... gH will be tested soon as i bought the test kit from bro blackgf(thanks once again)... btw NTUC distilled water is gd and cheap... pH6.4 quite gd...brand shld be "LIFE"(will confirm when reach office)
Now still couldnt find any problem with my water.but my tank has new tank mate, tubifex worms... damn.... manually remove 3 le... dunno is this the caused of my shrimpys death... but i read le quite a harmless pest lei...
anyone out there can share with me your opinion on what happen to my tank...

Getting poison everyday
Do you have enough water surface disturbance via air bubbles or ....
all parameters looks alright so far. again gH and kH may be impt for shrimplets who are consistently molting to grow bigger
you use distill water for topups or pwc? it may seems cheap like 1.5 l X2 for 95 cents? but long run its quite chor, yes the LIFE brand pH is 6.5
Shrimplets eat mico-organism at the birth . and smaller food pieces as most of the 2 weeks they are hiding.
There are shrimpy food on the market that are very fine like powder. I mix them into aquarium water in a small container and inject thru a syringe to there usual hideout . so that they are well fed.
