I bought a dolphin nano tank set from seaview. Comes with hof and a few other stuff for less than 2 red notes. Good buy. I didn't get the IQ series cos scared part replacement would be a problem.

IMO, it depends on your preferences. I personally have used both tanks with/without built-in filtration and find those cube tanks better..

    Re: recommendation of nano tanks

i was thinking of doing planted tank. i went down to C328 today and saw the IQ5 was pretty small. also had the chance to come across a OF 24L nano tank similar to IQ5 difference was it was made of glass. and cost rougly the same as IQ5.

A 1 feet cube tank is a better size. NA at Balestier have them.

    Re: recommendation of nano tanks

Where the IQ5 is concerned, the pump may produce some weird noises if the rubber tube that links it to the outlet has a tiny puncture or tear. The resulting air bubbles form a fine mist as they come out, with an annoying krrrk-krrrrk sound like someone is gurgling.

Depending on your purposes, a nano tank with a separate filter might be a good start. For a simple planted nano tank, any of the mini tank sets will do.
