Few weeks ago i upgrade my tank to 4 X 2 X 2 setup..
Brought a 2nd hand marine tank & converted to freshwater planted setup..

The tank has an internal overflow chamber & 2 hole at the bottom of the chamber...
For that moment i just connected my old Fluval canister & run pipes through those holes..fill the water less than the overflow so that the water doesn't overflow to overflow chamber..
I plan to buy a better canister soon.. so my question is should i use the overflow chamber which will greatly increase the filtration capacity...but then i have to keep up with water top-up...plus if the water level is low in the chamber.. it will cause splashing which isnt good for my planted tank... as i am using a CO2 setup..

Any suggestions/ ideas would be fully appreciated...anybody has a similar setup like mine.. how did u connect ur canister?
