Thinking of upgrading my tank, so finding out more about better quality glass tanks. Is there a grade for glass tanks? And does anyone know what's the difference between clear glass, crystal clear glass and Japanese grade 1 glass?

There are many name that reffering to the same thing. For example, clear glass, crystal glass, opti white is reffering to low iron glass which whiter. Very obvious if you see from the edge. It is just different company name it differently. However quality may not be the same, i do not know which onr is better.

Hmmm thanks shadow, may I ask what brand of tanks are you using for your competition tanks? They all look really clear, interested if it's a custom made as well.

If not mistaken the distributor not carry it anymore. Quality not good, air bubble was forming in the silicon within a year, lucky still under warranty.

Wa, looks bad. I heard many places stop selling CADE tanks already.. Maybe because of inconsistency?

yes it is bad, leaking just waiting to happen but that was not the worst part. The worst part is the unfinished scape when it was discovered. I have to dismantle unfinished scape, and its painful .

After this experience I tell myself, forget about all those minimum silicon especially for big tank. Just get the normal one as long as silicon not that obvious, it should last longer.

    Re: Aquarium glass grades?

Never used an ADA tank before. No budget to use either, hence, I can't comment if most expensive equates to best durability. Based on my own very limited experience, if N30 can give me what I want at the price I'm comfortable paying, then I would go with that.
