i suppose it must be organic or you probably just cut the flesh inside..pesticide/land ferts contains chemicals that harm shrimps..

The vegetables should be washed always, may have traces of pesticides, then boil a bit and ready to eat.
It's as easy as stealing a bit of the kitchen when they are making the food juas juas juas.
If there are questions of possible contamination is best not to use this vegetable.

    Re: What eat your shrimp?

If shrimps can eat veg, wouldn't they eat aquarium plants too?

I have a planted tank just set up. Thinking of keeping shrimps but I'm worried they will eat the plants.

Sry if I sound silly, I'm new to this.

They wont eat plants as it doesnt have taste unless u put it to extreme hunger .if shimps are put to extreme hunger they may even eat soil.

    Re: What eat your shrimp?

shrimp are opportunistic in nature, they eat decaying leaves, algae on rocks and does not rule out a dead fish.
You can find many meals for shrimp in stores.
I have many, I like to vary the feed and not just always eat it.
The vegetables are cheap and you also eat them, you just put a little bit and give your shrimp, you'll see will thank you.
