    Hi,

    The fishes in my planted tank are infected with white spots.
    Any advise for this?
    I don't dare to buy those off the shelves medication for the fear of killing the plants as well.

    Please help..

    quarantine the affected fish and apply medication on them?

    a photo might help out??

    if it looks like this , it might be ich, from what i read, quarantine the fish in a hospital tank and use ich medication.

    just my 2 cents,
    seniors please correct if im wrong

    When my tank got it i upped the temp and added some aquarium salt

    Oh yes the salinity method, but that method might cause Ur tank salinity to increase by alot and might affect other fishes/plants in the tank. It's a good and safer method I guess , still a hospital tank is necessary if Ur keeping expensive fishes .

    On a side note, good to know Ur fish is doing better !
