knowing what u want to keep is impt... the lights, u converting from planted izit? what is the kelvins of the lights? have u consider the temperature that the lights are giving out? try taking a look at the aquatic FAQs, it will give u a basic idea on what to prepare.. the best, get a book on marine keeping.. it will provide u with the basic information u need... just take note of this impt fact. cycling time cannot be rushed. Let nature takes it own course. Be prepared to cycle up to 4-6weeks with no live stock.

u can either get specialised lights such as coralife etc.. they will specify the amt of kelvins in each light.

Similarly, if u wan to keep corals, what corals u want to keep? if u plan to keep hard corals, u should be looking at lights intensitity of 10,000k, usually MH. u also have to consider getting a calcium reactor...

chances are, the lights that u are using for planted, are not sufficient.

don't forget the thickness of the glass used for the tank, might not be sufficient for marine use as salt water is heavier.

What you don't want is for the tank to collapse at night while you sleep and you can imagine all the mess it'll create.

to make internal overflow system, u would need to drill a hole at the base of the tank and link them to a sump or filter... i suggest u get them done professionally..
