Trying out Iwagumi scape on a 1 feet tank yesterday, now undergoing cycling for a week before adding in a pair German Blue Ram or Apisto. The plants inside are Flame Moss, Hairgrass, Moss ball and US Fissiden. Would like to hear comments, opinions from anyone here. Thank you.

my 2 cents on the scape: Its lack of focus point, you need bigger rocks to use as a focus point. The hairgrass can easily block the rocks

Thanks Shadow. I will stack the rock higher the next time and try to use a bigger rock as a focus point.

Just use a bigger rock as focal point, placed off centre! (golden rule). think "natural" placement so that it does not look like "MBS" casino.

Just a suggestion? Replace the hair grass with other foreground?
I saw another posting where there is creative use of marimo moss ball (torn down and tied down to SS mesh.

You can consider adding a little more soil so that there is a sloping effect, as it all looks rather "flat"...

Also, add a black background so the wire for the filter cannot be seen?

Do a moss wall for the background.

    i will say
move the soil around to create depth
tear open the marimo and tie to the base on the rock, marimo ball dont suit iwagumi style
    stack the rock to higher
    trim the hairgrass

Nice tank! If you're not creating a background you might wanna shift the white wire so you don't see it as you are admiring your tank. A little bit distracting =)
