Here are some images of the plants which are suffering from some kind of nutrient deficiency. Please help me to indentify them as i can't make out what it is exactly.

I've been dosing Dr. Mallick's Lushgrow Aqua (5ml weekly) and Lushgrow Micros (5 drops weekly) to my 2x1x1feet tank which is approx 57litres. Also have KH2PO4 which I'm still unsure of how much to dose.

Please advise me on what nutrient i'm lacking in and correct my dosage if i'm under-dosing. Can also recommend what else to dose to increase the particular nutrient i'm lacking in. Thanks.

    Hi

I am not too sure but sometimes it may not be due to the lack of nutrients.

From the pics, it seem a bit dark. If not mistaken, is this problem at the lower part of your stem plants.

This is pretty common when your stem plants grow taller and denser, as a result the lower portion which is unable to get sufficient light will turn out like that.

    Thks

first 3 pictures are rotala indica, the last one is ludwigia inclinata "cuba". The leave shown at the last pic is around 5 cm from the crown of the plant, so i doubt the last one may be lack of light. The first 3 rotala indica may be due to lack of light, i can agree with that.

The Cuba is a beautiful plant. Been on the lookout for that myself. Please don't let it melt away.

This might not be related to your deficiency problem, but the Lushgrow Aqua and Micros does not seem to contain calcium. Do you have an alternate source for that?

ludwigia sp 'cuba' is available at Teo

the plant is very sensitive to low light conditions and mishandling, leaves are easily bruised. I have ludwigia with the same conditions.. just make sure they get lotsa light

I am dosing about 15 drops of Lushgrow Micros daily for my 85 litre tank to keep my plants healthy. Don't really know whether this will help to solve the deficiency problem shown in the photographs though as there might be other contributing factors.

Here are some pics of the Lud. "cuba" in my tank.

The top leaves and crown are growing very well, but just that the lower part seemed to look abit darker with some holes here and there.

I'm using 72watts PL for my tank, which is more than 3watts/gallon already

Its a prunning issue here...nothing else. Don't mess with your GH unless you are clearly lacking which I don't think it would be unless you don't do water changes for a long time.

Read that Lushgrow Micros is concentrated, can we dose that many drops per day? How big is your tank?

Could it be due to old age. The pics is not clear but I suspect so. If not lack of light would be my next best guess.
    Cheers!!

    Hi,

15 drops of Micros daily for my 2.5ft tank will give about 0.024ppm of Fe daily and about 0.17ppm of Fe weekly (assuming non is absorbed by the plants). I think this is well within the various ranges of ppm for Fe recommended by various authorities i.e. from 0.2ppm to 0.7ppm to 1.0ppm. In fact, I was contemplating to increase the dosage further to see if my plants will grow better.

I am not sure whether the ppm achieved for the other elements such as Mn, B, Zn, Cu, Mo, etc have exceeded any recommended concentrations though... []

Why not add a separate Fe fetilizer?
