    Hey folks,

I know this borders on insanity, but a thought just crossed my mind — is it possible to feed ebiko (the sushi grade shrimp roe) to fish in the aquarium?

I mean, since they are already eating eggs of smaller crustacea as part of their natural diet anyway, and they are presumably extremely nutritious since they are eggs, would it do any harm to feed them a bit of ebiko as a special treat?

I think these Ebikko are soaked in something to preserve them. It might not be wise to do this because you don't know what the ebikko might contain. You are better off using decapsulated brine shrimp eggs.

Oh dear, I've always been under the impression they were simply harvested and packaged; preservation didn't cross my mind. Hmm.

    Thanks very much!
