High light requirement, slow grower, 10-25dC and not really a fast grower the other relative Brazilian Pennywort (Hydrocotyle leucocephala) is a faster growing & easier plant.
I have pennywort too.. quite hardy but slow grower. There's new sprouts in my med light , low tech tank. already. but they tend to grow tall in low light.
somehow it floats up and uproot, i leave it as it is ..see how it goes without rooted
my tank size is 45cmx22x23cm,and my lighting is 32watts t5 light do you think guys it is enough to make this plant not to grow very tall..because i read on other forum this plant will going to grow very tall if your light is not enough..

You want the plant to grow fast, must use co2, liquid fert and 8hrs of sunlight.
I have it too in my 2 feet tank.
If without CO2, the growth is slow.
Its only I pump in CO2 & 12 hours of 24W x 2 lighting that it started to sprout fast.
Mine does not grow tall as I think my lighting is more than sufficient.![]()
You can see my aquarium pix under beginner's section.
thanks bro's for your advice im using pressurized co2 4bps..at bro zenith what do you mean by 8hrs sunlight..my lighting is 2x16watts T5 light 8hrs a day..11am-3pm and 10pm-2am..is this ok!!thanks
