I'm using 2217 with pre-filter and chiller. Works fine.

Okay..but 2215 has lower flowrate right? wonder will it be okay with the prefilter and chiller.
It is lower flowrate, in the longer run, i suspected the flowrate will be badly reduced due to filter getting dirty. The flowrate of those canister filters are just the empty canister itself without any medias packed in it. With medias being packed into it, flowrate will be reduced depends on how densely packed you stuff medias into the filter. Adding a prefilter will also reduce your flowrate.
OKay. decided to go without pre filter for now and see how the new system run. ^^ thanks for all the replies. cheers
2215 if ain't wrong is classic model right? hmm will be affect after awhile so better to have a higher range. Once your chiller start to kick in more that often it most likely mean your flowrate is slower. i Normally take near the max requirement. Let say minus off the media i roughly estimate it should at the half way mark of the recommended flowrate. It worried about discharge too stronge can add a rainbar. Turning the rainbar facing the tankwall and with the hole with a slight degree upwards. That normally solve my problem.
Get your chiller modified to use an external temperature probe. With this modification, a lower flowrate at minimum 500lt/hr, the chiller might still operate at an optimum level. In my experience, a lower flowrate might cause the chiller to work longer.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
Yea. will eventually modify for the external probe as advise by other bros ^^ but think will let it run for now... if anyone interested to get my 2215, i don't mind selling and get a higher flow rate canister. ^^
