I never use benibachi, so can't comment on the soil but your plants is not high demanding plants, so should be OK

Initially, i set up a tank with the following for shrimps only,
1.5ft tank
2x16w PL light
Dolphin c700 canister with Mr Aqua CR
Fan running 24 hours
Benibachi Soil
Java fern, java moss and taiwan moss
But now, due to some reasons, i am not able to keep shrimps. I have four electric blue rams inside. Girlfriend brought it and throw inside. I also have a CO2 tank but not used as i do not really know how to set up and do not know how much to input.
Because of this, i am thinking of converting to high tech planted to house the rams with some tetras and cories. Should i reset the whole tank and change the soil?
Shadow bro, teach me how to set up the CO2 possible? It comes with a solenoid twin gauge regulator, bubble counter and a ANS diffusor.

Ok, If im setting up the CO2 unit, what kind of carpeting plants should i get? Im a complete idiot when it comes to plants. Only know what is java fern and java moss.

yes ram will eat shrimps
so i guess the water parameters are fine, just that the rams are attacking the shrimps.

Yup, At the moment, will put the ram there with some tetra and 2 stebai cory. Shrimp tank will have to wait til can get a bigger tank to house them in the hall.
thinking any lobster/crayfish/shrimp that eat rams

Nitrite level today shoot to 1.5mg. Dont know why sia. Been dosing with BT 9.
I think ur tank passed 1 week after Bt9 ?

Oh dear, my tabk ammonia lvl is at 0.25 and nitrite lvl is at 5.
Rams will eat the other tropical fish too
get some floating plants such as frogbit or waterlily great nitrate suckers
still learning the hard way!!
