I'm using a Ehiem 2026 for my 4ft planted tank. And it is about 2 months already. Using Co2 with solenoid, and a Co2 diffusor (with bio balls, I think that's what they call). I have both middle water swimmers like Rummy nose tetrtas and bottom feeders like corys. I only have a total of 33 fishes (small and medium sizes) in my tank.

The problem is the water in my tank is still kind of cloudy, with particles floating and circulating round the tank after 2 months. And the gravel gets dirty pretty fast, like 1 day after I siphon off the dirt. When the bottom feeders starts feeding, their foraging in the sand cause a lot of dirt to float up in the water. I feed the fishes twice a day and the fishes finished the food in half hr at each feeding.

    I have 3 questions :
    1. Why is the tank still having particles after 2 months and how to get rid of it?

    2. Why does the gravel gets dirty so fast?

    3. Shouldn't the filter get rid of these particles?

What type of substrate are you using? Any base fertilisers?

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
