transparent silver fish from mkt

bought those fish from the market at only $4/kg (i gotten myself only $1 worth though), and tried feeding them to my fish. my aro, turtle, midas even walking catfish all seem to love it.

but my question is really .... can a fish choke, say if this feeder fish's tail/head is still poking out of the cichlid's mouth. my chocolate cichlid is very keen on eating almost anything but i worry that he might choke on too big a feeder fish [] after like ten mins, he manages to finish the fish however.
