tread like worm? on the fins. how to cure, remove???

there is this tread like worm(not too sure wat is it) on the fins of my balloon ram. the length is 1-3mm white in color, visible to the eye. it stick to the fins, tails, it is not hangin.

how to get rid of it???

can salt help? if i dose salt 1tbsp/20litres for two weeks will it affect my planted tank??

should i just buy medication and dose it into my planted tank?

had these little fellas one of my Altum once.

tried everything (formalin, coppersafe...etc) but to no avail !!!

finally after one month of medication, i decided to do a little operation. cut up the fins and scales to pull this worms out of the body and fins.

that was more then 6 weeks ago and so far so good.
no more worms (touch wood) and the fish is still alive and thriving.

i also try everything and in the end i remove it manually.
there is this guy told me this worm is from bird shit.
just wonder how it get there.

i had them once on my cardinals and emperors
was quite perturbed
in the end i dosed with salt + coppersafe at ard 3~4tbsp salt per 5gallon
went away quite quickly
